We are proud of our urban village, and this is reflected every quarter in “De Buurtpraot”, a neighbourhood magazine produced by the Neighbourhood Network and distributed door-to-door by volunteers. Digital versions are available on this site.

We are delighted that Limmel will be directly connected to the Meuse and the city centre through the construction of green wedges and the realisation of the “Limmel aan de Maas” construction plan. In a few years’ time, we will be able to stroll from the village centre to the Meuse and the city centre via the green wedges. How wonderful is that! The “Limmel aan de Maas” section will be continuously updated with the latest information.

Those who want to know more about “Limmel in the past” will be surprised by the history of this area. The “History of Limmel” section is well worth a visit!

The section with photos and videos gives a nice impression of the atmosphere then and now.

Our Child Centre “IKC de Geluksvogel”, which houses the primary school, the nursery and the toddler care centre, is centrally located in our neighbourhood. The people who work there are dedicated to helping our children develop their talents. Limmel is also home to the Hotel Management School Maastricht.
